Ear examination
Otomicro/Endoscopy - inspection of the eardrum, during which an otomicroscope or otoendoscope is used. During the examination, the image can be enlarged from 6 to 20 times, which allows for a more accurate assessment of hard-to-examine parts of the tympanic membrane.
Nasal examinations
Video endoscopy of the nose, nasopharynx with a solid endoscope - the study is designed to assess in detail the nasal passages, nasal shells, nasal septum, nasal sinuses, nasopharyngeal part of the auditory tube, nasopharyngeal vault. It is advisable to perform the study in case of difficulty breathing through the nose, excretion from the nose or nasopharynx, to evaluate postoperative changes.
Pharynx examinations
Videoendoscopy of soft palate, mouth/pharynx, pharynx and larynx - during the study, a soft, flexible fibroendoscope is used, with the help of which it is possible to examine the hard and soft palate, pharynx, larynx. The condition of tissues, symmetry, plaque are evaluated. The video material of each patient is saved in the system. The procedure is not painful.
Laryngeal examinations
Video endoscopy of the larynx with a solid endoscope - the study is carried out with a hard endoscope at a 70°, 90° angle of inspection. The epiglottis motility, epiglottis position, valleculas, pear pockets, oesophageal access, vocal folds, their motility, sublobe are evaluated. In patients with a pronounced vomiting reflex, superficial anesthesia is applied. The video material of each patient is saved in the system.
Other examinations / procedures
Plier biopsy under local anesthesia - the purpose of the procedure is to determine the origin of altered tissue. The procedure is performed under local surface and infiltrative anesthesia. A piece of tissue is taken with micro forceps under the control of the doctor’s eye within the boundaries of healthy tissues. The material is sent for pathistological examination.
